A Wild Cat Killer

CARE Korea is no longer a Sponsored Project of World Animal Rescue Fund.
This post is translated from a post on their website, and was not written by us.

In early April, we exposed a terrible incident. One cat was found by people and transferred urgently to hospital. It was shocked to hear the story that this cat was exposed to poison.

We heard from the people that there was a cat beside a chicken mixed with something blue. When they approached to the cat, the cat did not run. It was weird that a wild cat did not run from people. So they took the cat to the hospital. The cat was nearly dead but he was very lucky that now he is alive and getting better.

The story goes like this. One man had spread chickens on the road where many cats are living to feed wild cats yet, his behavior was to kill them instead of saving them. This man was keep mixing chicken with poison to kill wild cats. Many cats had disappeared after this incident. He had spread the poisoned chickens on the road just because he hates wild cats.

We and other neighbors tried hard to catch this guy. And finally we captured this man. Before we captured him, he was already captured by other animal protecting organization and promised that he will not do this again (kill wild cats) but he never stopped.

It makes us really upset that there is still no law to punish him so the only thing that we can do is trusting him. After we let him go, few days later, we again captured this guy spreading chicken mixed with chicken. For him, the promise was nothing.

We will demand severe punishments for what he did.
